Berakas Power Company Sdn Bhd (BPC) is a government linked company (GLC) and a fully owned subsidiary company of Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd.

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) was established by virtue of the EGAT Act, B.E. 2511 (1968) on May 1, 1969. BIB is located in Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan. Mining area location is 200 km away from Banjarmasin with good condition of road infrastructure and 1.5 hours flight from Jakarta (Indonesian’s Capital city).
BIB has obtained a mining licenses to conduct coal mining activities which last until 2036 with huge coal resources and coal reserves.

BIB Coal Specification with GCV between 4000-4200 kcal/kg (gar basis), low Total Sulphur and Low Ash content classified as environmental friendly coal and is popular for both domestic and overseas markets. Mainly for power generation, cement plant, paper mill and industrial factories used.

BIB has its private port and hauling road. The distance from Pit to Bunati port 25 km in average. Road and port loading capacity could handle more than 50 Mio ton coal /year. BIB’s production target for 2021 at 36 mio ton level.
